Extensions, themes, and plugins are all types of add-ons for Firefox. This article describes how to disable and remove add-ons in Firefox.
Blocked Add-ons The following software is known to cause serious security, stability, or performance issues with Firefox. They are probably unaware of how their adverts are appearing, having purchased slots on advertising exchange networks. Disabling an extension or theme will turn it off without removing it:
- Click the menu button , click Add-ons and select Extensions or AppearanceThemes.
- Select the add-on you wish to disable.
- Click its button.
- Click Restart now if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.
To re-enable the add-on, find it in the list of Add-ons and click , then restart Firefox if required.
Shortcut:If an add-on is on your toolbar, right-click on it and choose Manage Extension to change its settings or Remove Extension to remove it from Firefox.
